“Advent invites us to a commitment to vigilance, looking beyond ourselves, expanding our mind and heart in order to open ourselves up to the needs of people, of brothers and sisters, and to the desire for a new world.”
– POPE FRANCIS
Our SJB parish and school community is teaming up St. Vincent de Paul, St. John the Baptist Conference!
Here is how we are partnering this Advent:
Silver and gold stars with donation items listed on them will be on the Giving Tree near The Gathering Place beginning November 22. We invite parishioners to take a tag, purchase the gift/gift card and return it with the star tag to the Giving Tree by December 15. Please keep the star with the gift/donation and do not wrap the gifts. There will be a Gift Wrapping Party on Sunday, December 15 after 9:30 am Mass.
Katie Prejean McGrady

Advent Daily Devotions
With the help of the Christian Women we have purchased “Becoming Pilgrims of Hope”- a daily reflection for Advent and “Following the Star Together” a daily reflection for young families. The books are available in the back of the church.
Stations of the Crib
St John the Baptist School Pre-K, 5K, and Middle School students are presenting the “Stations of the Crib” throughout Advent. We invite you to attend on Friday, December 6th & 20th at 8:00 am in Church. The Stations of the Crib recall the events leading up to and immediately following the birth of Christ.
