Lunch Program

Good nutrition and regular physical activity before, during, and after the school day are strongly correlated with positive student outcomes. St. John the Baptist, in conjunction with the Plymouth School District Lunch program, offers students healthy, kid-friendly meals at affordable prices that support and promote good nutrition. A varied menu including many different fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and made-from-scratch items are offered.

Wellness Committee

The SJB Wellness Committee is an advisory group focusing on the health and well-being of students, staff, and families at SJB. The committee meets three times a year (once each trimester).

Wellness Committee Vision: To create an environment in our school community that supports good nutrition, life-long healthy habits, physical activity, and wellness.

Healthy Choices

ChooseMyPlate.gov provides useful information to help consumers build healthier diets with resources and tools for dietary assessment, nutrition education, and other user-friendly nutrition information. This online resource is designed to enable people to make healthier food choices for themselves, their families, and their children.

MyPlate Kid’s Place provides online resources and tools for children to help them make healthier choices in a fun and appealing way. Parents can find reliable information and resources as well as “teachable moments” that can influence children’s choices at home and at school.

Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program

Your child(ren) may qualify for free or reduced-price meals. The Federally supported School Nutrition Program provides assistance to families that qualify. Qualification is based on family income and family size. Please contact the school office for more information.
