WI Parental Choice Program

St. John the Baptist Catholic School participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP)! New and eligible students in 4K thru 8th grade can attend St. John the Baptist Catholic School TUITION FREE!!

The WPCP is a state-wide private school voucher program that allows students whose families meet certain income and residence qualifications the ability to attend a participating private or religious school of their choice – tuition-free.

There are several advantages to entering the Choice program.

  • Families accepted into the Choice program can attend SJB tuition-free for as long as their student(s) is enrolled. This includes fees, such as registration and technology.

  • The “once in, always in” provision means your child remains in the program even if family income rises, as long as he or she does not voluntarily leave the program.

  • The primary requirements are verification of residency and, for the first year only, income.

Open Application Period for 2024-25 is February 1- April 18, 2024

Eligibility

INCOME: For the 2024-25 school year, the family income of a student new to the choice program must be at or below the amount listed in the table. Income is considered the first year only. Once a student is approved at a qualifying income, income is not considered if you apply in future years.

RESIDENCE: Students must provide documentation showing they live in the state of Wisconsin.

Once a student is accepted into the program, they can participate through 8th Grade at SJB, provided they continue to meet the residency requirements. Students continuing in the program are not required to provide income documentation but will need to renew program participation each school year.
