Nurturing the growth and development of the whole child from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
Spiritually nourishing, morally sound, academically challenging and socially interactive.
At St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and School our vision is to send forth loving, concerned, educated disciples who integrate Catholic Christian values with their life experiences. Our Catholic school is an important ministry of our parish. The teachings of the Catholic Church, as well as gospel living, are intertwined into our curriculum and culture. Our academic program is rigorous and relevant, preparing students well as they move on to high school and beyond.
As an educational community, St. John the Baptist Catholic School is committed to supporting our families, engaging our students, and keeping our community together during this time apart. In accordance with the State of Wisconsin’s Safer At Home Order, our school building is closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year.
Virtual learning started on March 16th. Teachers and students have adjusted very well to at-home learning. We are proud of our teachers for stepping up and making the switch to a virtual world seamless. Their dedication to educating the whole child does not cease, even when teaching remotely.
Student engagement is important and is accounted for on a daily basis. Creating a sense of “normalcy” is a high priority when meeting virtually vs in person. We believe our virtual classrooms to be an extension of the environment our students left behind in March. Teachers are available for questions, one-on-one learning, or support when requested. In PreK – 8th grade classes, video conferencing is an integral part of the school week. Many of the students’ classes are taught in a virtual classroom-style setting where students are still listening and watching live instruction from their teacher. Weekly Mass is recorded and the students have the opportunity to view Mass on their “normal” Mass day.New Families
