The St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery serves as a symbol of the extended community of believers, a community unbroken by death. It stands as a reminder of the need to prepare throughout our lives here on earth for that life which is to come and to pray for the repose of the souls of those who have gone before us. Our parish cemetery is holy ground. It is a refuge for remembrance, prayer, service, and peace.

When we are baptized, we are brought to a sacred place, a Catholic church, and there baptized into the mystery of Christ’s death and resurrection, thus receiving the promise of eternal life. When loved ones die, we take them to another sacred place, a Catholic cemetery, while they await the resurrection of the dead and the fulfillment of the promise of eternal life. With eyes of faith, death as seen as a natural passageway to a changed life with God. Burial in a Catholic cemetery is a statement of continued belief in the everlasting life, even in the face of death.

Plots for Christian burial are available for both parishioners and non-parishioners. Perpetual care is provided.
