Pastoral Council strives to fulfill the pastoral mission of the parish by developing Catholic identity, promoting evangelization, and fostering stewardship. The council engages in a continuous process of pastoral planning, taking into account the needs and priorities of its parishioners, the Archdiocese, the broader community, and the world.

Liturgy Committee
The Liturgy Committee nourishes and gives direction to the liturgical aspect of parish life, ensuring parishioners and guests are provided with opportunities to deepen their faith through liturgical celebrations and prayer experiences.
Human Concerns Committee
The Human Concerns Committee discerns the needs of people in the parish and wider community – especially the poor – and identifies resources to meet those needs while enlisting the active support and participation of parish members. This committee helps to fulfill the justice dimensions of scripture and our Catholic social teaching tradition, while acknowledging that every Christian is called to service and to work for justice.
Formation Committee
The Faith Formation Committee creates opportunities for people to encounter Jesus, learn what the Catholic Church teaches, discover how to live the faith in their daily lives, and share the Good News of the Gospel with others
Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee is focused on efforts to build and strengthen our parish community and strives to ensure St. John the Baptist is a vibrant and welcoming parish that engages our members to be active participants in community life. There are four subcommittees: Welcoming, Parish Life, Communications, and Time & Talent.
School Advisory
The School Advisory Committee is dedicated to the promotion and welfare of Catholic education and serves as an advisory body to St. John the Baptist School principal.
Finance Council
The Finance Council is a consultative body in parish financial matters. The council provides advice and guidance to the Pastor in the administration of parish assets, monitors the financial condition of the parish and prepares the annual budget and reports

Building and Grounds Committee
The Building and Grounds Committee is a sub-committee of the Finance Council. This committee monitors the state and condition of parish facilities and property, prioritizing needs to ensure their appropriate maintenance and upkeep. The committee presents areas of need to the finance committee and recommends prudent use of financial resources to keep building and grounds in good physical condition.
Technology Committee
The goal of the technology committee is to develop and implement technology solutions in coordination with a technology plan for both the school and parish's technology needs. This committee welcomes new members who have current experience in a technology or school setting. The experience of Technology Committee members is key to the success of this committee.
Cemetery Committee
The Cemetery Committee is a sub-committee of the Finance Council and is responsible for making recommendations regarding the care and practice of the parish cemetery. Members assist with the operation and care of the parish cemetery.
